CRS RICE BOWL Wrap-Up

Resources for Collecting Rice Bowls

With the Easter season upon us, families are preparing to return their Rice Bowl alms. The Office of National and Missions Collections thanks you for your continued efforts promoting this important Lenten practice, and wants to assist with the challenge of socially distanced alms collection.

We know that many of you are ready to return your CRS Rice Bowls. In an effort to support healthy social distancing practices, we have assembled distance-giving suggestions that will allow your family to “turn in” your Lenten alms from home.

All are invited to:
• donate through your Parish’s Online Donation Portal

• donate directly through the Archdiocese of Seattle

• donate directly through Catholic Relief Services

• mail in a check of your family’s donation to your parish office

For families who are unable to make their donation through distanced giving, Rice Bowls can be returned in person when your community is no longer physically restricted from gathering for Mass.

Despite this unprecedent and challenging time, we would like to thank everyone for participating in Rice Bowl. Through this Lenten program we are responding to Christ’s call to help those in need and ensure everyone, near and far, has enough nutritious food to thrive.
