PESB CCDEI Professional Learning Series

Explore CCDEI standards through an indigenous pedagogical lens in this four-part series

Native educator and educational justice leader Sui-Lan Ho’okano will lead this exploration of self, community, and vision of a culturally responsive classroom.

All sessions are free but pre-registration is required.

Sui-Lan Ho’okano is a cultural practitioner and District Cultural Support Program Manager at Enumclaw School District, as well as the founder and Executive Director of Wind and Waters LLC. She is an educational justice advocate and leads professional learning for state education agencies and school districts centered on culturally responsive teaching.

Sui-Lan Ho’okano is currently the lecturer for UW Tacoma School of Education MEd Social Emotional Learning.

WHO: All educators, including ESA’s, teachers, paraeducators, administrators, and classified staff.

CLOCK HOURS: Registered attendees are eligible for three free clock hours for each session they attend. These clock hours will count towards fulfilling the equity clock hour requirement for certificate renewal. They are offered by the Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP).

WHERE: Zoom

WHEN: While you may choose to attend any or all of these interactive sessions, they do build on each other. Attending the entire series is encouraged.

 

 

 

 

Note: We encourage educators to attend in community with their colleagues. However, in order to receive clock hours each individual must be registered separately, even if you will be sharing a screen.
