We are thrilled to welcome back Matt Barmore as our retreat facilitator at Seabeck for formation in the Second Task of Catechesis: Initiating into the Celebration of the Mystery. Matt has been an educator in Catholic schools for 41 years, the last 26 at Seattle Prep. At various times at Prep, he served as the Principal, an English Teacher, and the Director of Adult Faith Formation. He was also the Executive Director of the Ignatian Spirituality Center for three years.

This year’s retreat theme, “The Sacramental Nature of Catholic Schools”, focuses on understanding the sacraments, the sacramental life of the Church, and how our school communities are sacramental by their very nature. Matt will be joined by Tony DeSapio, president of Bishop Blanchet High School, and Lauren Hobbs, principal of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School, in presenting this retreat and sharing their insights. Connor Geraghty will facilitate a collaborative closing session on Friday morning focused on applying and adapting the retreat experience in preparation for your own local retreats.

The Seabeck Conference Center is located at 13395 Lagoon Dr NW, Seabeck, WA 98380. Lodging and meals will be provided along with free parking.
