Professional Learning
Professional learning is an essential part of sustaining excellence in Catholic education. As educators strive to nurture the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of every student, they must also continue growing in their own knowledge, skills, and vocation. Ongoing professional learning equips teachers with research-based instructional practices, strengthens their understanding of the Church’s mission in education, and fosters collaboration across our school communities. At the Office for Catholic Schools, we are committed to investing in our educators by providing high-quality, mission-centered professional learning opportunities throughout the year including workshops, instructional coaching, leadership development, learning networks, conferences, and school-based support, because we believe that when teachers continue to learn, our students, schools, and Catholic communities flourish.
For the 26-27 school year we are partnering with Northshore Learning to provide a four-part series of professional learning around classroom management. This series, titled Creating Calm & Positive School Cultures will allow teachers to start their school year off right by setting the cultural tone in their classrooms before students even get to school. See more details below on the flyer.
