If someone is interested in substitute teaching for the Archdiocese of Seattle Catholic Schools, they must complete the following before being entered into the Frontline Absence Management system.

DO NOT email these documents or include copies of your identification documents.
The following paperwork must be on file (all are clickable links):
1. I-9 Section 2 must be filled out in person at a local school. You need to bring a valid form of ID, such as passport or state driver’s license, and social security card. Before bringing by paperwork, please first make an appointment.
2. Safe Environment requirements including a clear background check within the last 3 years, abuse prevention education within the last 3 years, and signed agreement to our code of ethics policies. (If not current, please go onto www.virtusonline.org and follow instructions to update requirements, for example, running a background check and/or taking a Safe Environment class)
3. WA state teaching certificate or sub certificate – if available.
Note to schools: Please do not request someone in the process of getting into the general sub pool to substitute for you until they have completed these steps. It could impact their payment and fulfillment of credentials if best practices are not followed.
