Sue Milano, an accomplished educator and advocate for inclusive education, has dedicated over a decade to shaping welcoming and supportive learning environments in the Diocese of Phoenix’s Catholic schools. Her pioneering efforts in fostering a Community of Inclusion reflect her deep commitment to integrating students with learning differences, such as those with Specific Learning Disabilities, into mainstream educational settings. Sue’s passion is anchored in her belief that all students deserve a place where they can thrive academically and socially, a conviction that shines through her work and teachings on SLD.

Crystal Brooks, Ed.S., CCC/SLP, Inclusion Solutions, LLC
Crystal is the Managing Partner of Inclusion Solutions. Her background in elementary special education led to a specialization in communication disorders. She worked as a speech and language pathologist in many settings including public and private schools. Crystal provides professional development at the national level and coaches educators to build high leverage teaching practices in neurodiverse classrooms.

Caitlin Lyons, Educational Consultant, Wild Ones Consulting
Caitlin Lyons is an educational consultant and coach dedicated to empowering teachers, school leaders, and communities to implement instructional practices and programs that foster strong, responsive school ecosystems. She believes that effective coaching begins with building authentic relationships and tailoring strategies to meet the unique realities and needs of those she serves. Her expertise and passions include middle school education, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) implementation, facilitating crucial conversations, and brain-based teaching strategies.
Caitlin holds a Master’s in Teaching from the University of Washington and brings over 15 years of experience in education. She has worked as a classroom teacher, school leader, outdoor trip guide, and consultant. Currently, she collaborates with schools nationwide, Columbia University Teachers College, and the Washington State Office of Catholic Schools to drive meaningful change in education.

Kim Marshall, Consultant/Writer. Author.
Kim Marshall was a teacher, central office administrator, and principal in the Boston Public Schools for 32 years. He now advises and coaches new principals, teaches courses and conducts workshops on instructional leadership and time management, and publishes a weekly newsletter, the Marshall Memo, which summarizes ideas and research from 60 publications (www.marshallmemo.com). Kim has written several books and numerous articles on teaching and school leadership. His most recent book is Rethinking Teacher Supervision and Evaluation (Jossey-Bass, 3rd Ed. 2024). He is married and has two children, both teachers.

Jenell Kheriaty, Founder, Consultant, & Coach at Thrive Consulting and Coaching
Jenell Kheriaty is dedicated to empowering schools, parents, and kids to be intentional and dynamic in navigating the adolescent years. With 25 years of experience in Catholic education as a school administrator, teacher, and mentor, she understands the unique challenges students, parents, and educators face. Jenell spent 15 years as an administrator at Seattle Prep, leading all facets of the school including academics and curriculum, student life programs, student behavior, and school safety. Recognizing the growing pressures on teens and their families, she founded Thrive Consulting & Coaching to provide holistic school, parent, and teen support through consulting and coaching. Her mission is to foster resilience, compassion, and courage in the next generation of leaders, while helping schools and families create strong, supportive environments.

Julie Cantillon, Ph.D.
An experienced Catholic school teacher and leader, Julie Cantillon has served as an associate superintendent in the Diocese of San Diego and as the academic dean of the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University. Julie’s broad experience and training include completing professional learning at the Learning Forward Academy. Her multi-year problem-of-practice focus was on elevating teacher leadership at the
diocesan level. Julie holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Anselm College, a master’s degree from Simmons College, and a doctoral degree from the University of San Diego. Julie is also the parent to two young boys who attend Catholic school in the Diocese of San Diego.

Ray-Timoney
Jeannie Ray-Timoney, Ed.D.
A seasoned Catholic educator, Jeannie served as a Catholic school principal and associate superintendent before becoming the Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Portland (Oregon). As a past member of the National Catholic Education Association’s NSBECs Advisory Council, Jeannie has contributed to the most current NSBECS standards. In addition, she has served as a chair for the accreditation visits of the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA), was a board member for WCEA, and chaired the committee to create the most current protocol for WCEA accreditation. Jeannie holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco, a master’s degree from Concordia University, a license from Lewis and Clark College, and a doctoral degree from the University of San Francisco.

Richard D. Kim, M.Div., Cultures Connecting
Richard is a Racial Equity Consultant with Cultures Connecting. He is passionate about cultivating a person-centered approach and brings over a decade of experience teaching, consulting and facilitation engaging race, culture and identity in various organizational and education settings. Richard’s focus is not only in helping folks to bridge the knowledge gap but to also cultivate empathy and understanding especially across differences. Despite his often-perfect hair, Richard continues to learn and grow and invites others to be unpolished and unfinished alongside him.
As a person born in the United States to parents who emigrated from South Korea, Richard brings an uncommon voice and an interdisciplinary perspective to the work of racial equity. He is a husband to Grace and together learning to raise two kids. Richard
grew up in Minnesota and Florida and has lived in the Seattle area since 2007.

J.P. Anderson, Ph.D., Cultures Connecting
J.P. holds a Ph.D. in political science with a graduate certificate in Law, Societies, and Justice from the University of Washington. J.P. studies the role of law and punishment in perpetuating racial inequality and has published his own research in highly regarded law journals such as Law & Social Inquiry and Law & Policy. He has over a decade of experience in adult learning and was previously nominated for the University of Washington’s Excellence in Teaching Award. J.P. has taught at the University of Washington, Seattle University, Pomona University, and San Diego State University on topics including race & the law, race & social movements, and Restorative Justice.
In the DEIB space, J.P. works to increase awareness, build knowledge, strengthen skills, and support advocacy through facilitating workshops which brim with warmth, humor, and kindness. In a world too often marked by darkness and division, J.P. chooses optimism and authentic connection to support others in their journey of self-discovery. Two of his favorite quotes are “be kind whenever possible—It is always possible” and “If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of your revolution”.
J.P. has lived in many places but thinks of Seattle as his home. He and his spouse are raising two children, both of whom were born in Seattle. They also care for three cats and two rats and are hoping to soon adopt chickens.

Megan Choitz, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, School Counselor – Holy Rosary School, West Seattle
Megan Choitz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. This is her third year as the School Counselor at Holy Rosary and her 7th year in a school setting. Megan received her BA in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in 2005 and went on to earn her Masters in Social Work from Smith College in 2007. With nearly 20 years of experience as a social worker, most of her career has been in hospital settings, including her role as an Emergency Department Social Worker at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Megan also provides Clinical Supervision to Social Workers pursuing hours towards licensure. Transitioning to a school environment has been incredibly rewarding, as it allows her to be proactive in supporting children’s mental health. When she is not at school Megan is cheering on her daughters in cross country and soccer, reading a book or trying to learn how to crochet and sew. She is excited to partner with GoZen to present these workshops and share great strategies with this community.

John Sullivan, Assistant Superintendent of Finance, Office for Catholic Schools
John Sullivan is a 40 plus year veteran of finance leadership in public accounting, manufacturing accounting and retail accounting in the Seattle area. More importantly he volunteered more than two decades in Parish leadership roles of School Commission, Finance Council and Pastoral Council at Holy Family Parish in Kirkland. Most recently he has served as the original Assistant Superintendent for Finance in the Office of Catholic Schools for the Seattle Archdiocese.

Gregory Allen, Colonel, US Army retired. Highlander Six Team Consulting
Colonel, US Army retired, brings a wealth of knowledge and over 30 years of leadership experience to the Highlander Six team. Greg is a former Army Green Beret and Army Ranger with multiple combat tours to the Middle East. As the Director of Operations and Chief of Staff for the Washington National Guard, he oversaw the National Guard’s Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) program for over three years and was responsible for the physical security program for an organization consisting of over 9,000 Soldiers and Airmen and 30(+) armories across the State. He worked closely with the Seattle Police Department to augment security operations during the 2014 Seahawks Super Bowl Parade in downtown Seattle. Upon retirement in 2015, Greg founded Highlander Six Consulting, a risk management consulting company specializing in security assessments and crisis management planning. Additionally, he served as the Security Director for the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) during the peak of the protests in North Dakota in 2016. In 2019, he built the Puget Sound Disaster Response Plan for the Real Estate and Facilities (RE&F) Department, Microsoft and later assessed their emergency communications at the Redmond campus. Recently, he served as a senior security consultant and advisor for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC 2023) Conference in San Francisco.

Deacon Eric Paige, Director of Formation and Deacon Services, Archdiocese of Seattle
Deacon Eric Paige serves as Director of Formation and Deacon Services for the Archdiocese of Seattle supporting deacons as well as formation of clergy and lay ministers. Prior to this, Deacon Eric has served in a variety of other roles in the Archdiocese including Marriage and Family Life, the Archbishop Brunett Retreat Center and the Washington State Catholic Conference.
Deacon Eric serves at St. Andrew in Sumner and is married with two daughters.
