    How to be effective in supporting our marginalized students in our Catholic schools. Educator and Civil Rights Leader Bob Zellner will be present to share his story as well! Clock hours will be available for attending this PD.

  • Early Learning and Preschool Workshop
    Presenters: Darlene Logan, Rachel Franz, Jocelyn Manzanarez, Tracy Collins and Leah Finneseth Meyers
    Early learning training in STEM, Sensory Processing and outdoor programming, and understanding bias in early learning. REGISTRATION FOR EARLY LEARNING AND PREK EDUCATORS ONLY.

  • Technology / Digital Platform Training (mostly 6-12) – Innovative School Transformation Conference Part I
    Choose from tracks on Student Voice, Educational Technology & Future Ready Skills, SEL & Wellness, or Creativity in the Classroom – specifically, utilizing Microsoft Stream, Adobe Creative Educator, Flipgrid, and Adobe Tools. Opportunities to join in on sessions about O365 and Mindfulness are also available.

  • High School Best Practices During COVID
    Presenters: Lisa Snow (EC), Matthew Wright (AMHS), Sara Bruins (Kennedy) and Dan Chase (Seton High)
    Discussion on hybrid teaching strategies in secondary schools; grading practices during COVID, transitioning from 8-9th grades and educator self-care and wellness. Clock hours will be available for attending this PD.
  • Social Emotional Learning: The A, B, Cs of Social-Emotional Learning
    Presenters: Joe Engler, Ph.D., Addy Wissel, Ph.D. and Vincent C. Alfonso, Ph.D. Gonzaga University will be discussing the basics of social emotional learning, how it has changed historically and what are best practices for our students K-12 now. Clock hours will be available for attending this PD.
  • Hybrid Teaching In the Classroom and Into Students’ Homes
    Presented by Nicole Pickett and the Sacred Heart School Technology Team.
    How to balance utilizing technology tools to ensure students outside of the classroom are effectively learning and gaining access to opportunities presented in the classroom.
  • Budget and Finance for Principals and School Leaders
    Presenter: John Sullivan, Assistant Superintendent of Finance, Office for Catholic Schools. Ranging from basic budgeting in schools, to delving into the specifics of how to maintain an effective and efficient system of budgeting, John will walk leaders through the learning they may or may not have received during principal training school! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR NEW ADMINISTRATORS AND TEACHER LEADERS. Clock hours will be available for attending this PD.
  • Holocaust Center Seattle Curriculum Training
    Presenter: Paul Regelbrugge. ALL SCHOOLS SHOULD SEND AT LEAST ONE REPRESENTATIVE TO THIS TRAINING. Paul will walk teachers through how to effectively teach about the Holocaust utilizing online tools, resources and curriculum that aligns to state requirements for teaching about this incredibly important topic. Clock hours will be available for attending this PD. [Maximum 100 participants]
  • 9:00-10:30 am: Social Media Secrets
    Presenter: Andrea Gribble, Founder of #SocialSchool4EDU
    What would it feel like to have a plan where YOU managed social media instead of having SOCIAL MEDIA manage you? It’s possible! Whether you are just getting started, or have been at it for 10 years or more, this session will guide you through the foundational pieces required to reach thousands of people daily without taking up your entire workday. We’ll walk through best practices, review recommended settings/policies, and establish a plan that will leave you feeling balanced and in control! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ADVANCEMENT AND MARKETING TEAMS.
  • Project Lead The Way – Building a STEM Foundation for College and Career Readiness in K-8!
    Presenter Diane Lashinsky.
    Learn how Project Lead The Way’s STEM project/problem-based curriculum will engage your students to collaborate and solve real world problems. PLTW’s interdisciplinary PreK-5 Launch modules and 6-8 Gateway units in engineering, biomedical, and computer science are designed to elevate science, math, and literacy AND will strengthen your school and the Archdiocese’s SEL, ELL, and DEI goals. Principals and teachers are encouraged to attend as teams. [Maximum 300 participants]

  • Social Emotional Learning: Catholic schools and how to best incorporate social-emotional learning during COVID times.
    Presenter: Karen Skoog
    Geared towards K-8. Karen will host an interactive PD with educators interested in incorporating specific SEL strategies into their classrooms, both in person and in hybrid mode.
  • Hybrid Teaching and Instructional Strategies
    Presenter: Shauna Cogan, St. Joseph Parish School, Issaquah
    A highly interactive and collaborative session of sharing ideas, best practices, research and opportunities to connect with other educators in our Archdiocese centered around teaching students both in class and online, sometimes at the same time!
  • 12:30-2 pm: Effective Inbound Marketing that Increases Enrollment
    Presenter: Brendan Schneider
    There are many factors parents consider when choosing the right school for their child. It is important for us, as schools, to highlight our unique selling positions through inbound marketing. This will not only help you generate a higher volume of enrollments, but will guarantee a better quality of enrollments, as students and families who are more aligned with your values will present themselves to you. Strategies include: creative content creation, email marketing, social media, events, and other traditional forms of engagement. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ADVANCEMENT AND MARKETING TEAMS.

    Team Planning or Mini-presentation. Group A – Did you attend PLTW’s “Building a Foundation for College and Career Readiness in K-8” morning session and want facilitated team time to plan a STEM vision for your school? Group B – Were you unable to attend the PLTW morning session but want to learn more about STEM? We will present a high-level overview of PLTW’s K-8 STEM curriculum, including design thinking, problem-solving, and relevant project/problem-based learning. [Maximum 300 participants]
