Early Learning Update Week of March 1st  

Each week I will send out an Early Learning Update email.  These are meant to be quick updates on any relevant items for the week including resources, Professional Development, new health department info and more.

Registration for March 12th Professional Development Day is open until Friday, March 5^th

The online registration for the March 12^th Early Learning professional development day is open! I sent an individual link for the registration directly to your email and ask that you share it with the rest of your staff team! Each staff person on your team needs to register for their sessions individually. Please see below for the link to register and please have your team complete this by Friday, March 5^th. For Licensed programs it is important for your staff to have their STARS ID number handy when they register.

Early Learning Fulcrum Grant Opportunity

On Wednesday, February 3^rd the Fulcrum Foundation released the first ever Early Childhood Education Fund Grant Application. Founded in 2002, the Fulcrum Foundation leverages financial assistance to support and strengthen Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle primarily through tuition assistance, school partnerships, and transformational leader training. Dick and Sharon Abrams established the Fulcrum Early Childhood Education Fund to increase awareness of Fulcrum and encourage broader support for Early Learning and their growing endowment. I sent an individual email to you and your principal with all the details to apply for the grant that can result in an award of up to $2,000 to support your program. Applications are due on March 5^th! The application is available through Foundant [grantinterface.com], Fulcrum’s online grant application system

 

Early Learning Outdoor Play/Nature Area and Playground Pictures

Throughout our Archdiocese we have a few programs that are considering expansion or new outdoor play/nature areas and playgrounds. If you have a moment can you please take a few photos of your outdoor play/nature areas or playgrounds and send them to me. Thank you!
