OCS Presents PD Series #2: “Supporting and Being Fed by the Mission” November 20th from 3:30-4:30pm
Please join us for our second virtual PD session in a series sponsored by the Office for Catholic Schools on November 20th from 3:30pm-4:30pm. Matt Barmore will lead a Catholic Identity workshop focused on how all staff members can live and support the mission of our Catholic schools.
- Catholic schools and non-Catholic teachers sometimes struggle to figure out how the school’s mission can enliven all employees and how all employees can enliven the mission. This session will explore that dynamic and provide practical ways for participants to both support the mission and enliven their own spirituality.
- 1 clock hour will be provided for synchronous attendance at the PD. No recordings will be available for this session.
Matt Barmore has been an educator in Catholic schools for the past 41 years, the last 26 at Seattle Prep. At various times at Prep, he served as the Principal, an English Teacher, and the Director of Adult Faith Formation. He was also the Executive Director of the Ignatian Spirituality Center for three years. Matt helped develop the fall 2024 Christ in the Classroom retreat, “To Lead as Jesus Did”, focused on understanding and applying Jesus’ personal characteristics and teaching techniques to own our school contexts. |
