What are the learning objectives for the 2019-2020 CEL training?
Principals will learn strategies to: (1) break open the CEL 5D+ rubric with staff, (2) help teachers set goals related to the rubric, (3) develop a shared vision for student engagement and purpose in their schools, (4) provide targeted feedback to 1-2 case study teachers related to their goal areas.
Who can participate in the 2019-2020 CEL training?
This training is geared towards principals and assistant principals. Select teacher leaders and aspiring leaders may also participate in this training. Principals interested in registering teacher leaders and aspiring leaders should consult with Kaitlyn O’Leary.
What is the time commitment for participating in the CEL training?
Participants must commit to attending the following session:
- 1 Opening Institute- August 15, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 4 Half Day Learning Walks- October 1, December 3, February 7, + 1 More date (TBD), 9 AM – 1 PM
- 1 Closing Institute- April 24, 8:30 AM- 3:00 PM
*Regional groups also have the option to coordinate half day learning walks during their regularly scheduled regional principal meetings in lieu of the 4 half day learning walks listed above. The cost for this option will be slightly higher. Regions interested in this option should coordinate directly with Kaitlyn O’Leary.
What is the cost for participating in the CEL training?
The exact cost will be dependent upon the number of schools participating. However, the estimated costs are $450 for 1 participant in a school; $720 for 2 participants in a school; $945 for 3 participants in a school. Title IIA funding can be used to cover this training.
What do I need to do to sign up for this training?
A formal Title IIA registration site will open in August. However, we need to know initial interest to finalize our plans. Interested participants should complete the initial registration form by June 15th: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CEL2019Arch. Completing this form does not commit you to participating in the training.
How do I renew my E-walk account for next year?
If you currently have an E-walk account, your account will automatically be renewed.

What is the cost for E-walk next year?
Returning users with 1 license will be charged $320. Returning users with 2 licenses will be charged $640. Returning users with a 3-10 user site license will be charged $1,000. New uses with 1 license will be charged $420. New users with 2 licenses will be charged $840. New users with a site license of 3-10 users will be charged $1,200.
Will scholarships be available to help subsidize the cost of E-walk?
Most likely. We are finalizing these details with the Fulcrum Foundation, and will let you know as soon as scholarships are available.
