Updated Professional Development Opportunities on Early Learning Landing Page

I have added multiple new Professional Development opportunities on the Early Learning PD page that cover the rest of March and April. There are a lot of great topics and opportunities for your staff. Remember for licensed programs at the top of the page I have included the link to the form for you or your staff to fill out to be reimbursed for trainings through DCYF. You can only fill it out once a year, but can list multiple trainings on the form as long as they do not exceed $250 combined.

Updated Early Learning Articles and Resources on Early Learning Landing Page

I have also added new Early Learning articles to the Early Learning Resources and News Page. One fun add is the NAEYC Early Learning Topics and Resources. This page focuses on dozens of different Early Learning Topics and shares resources such as articles, blog posts and books. Take a few minutes to check it out and see all the great material available!

Survey for March 12th Professional Development Day sent to all participants

Thank you all for participating in our Virtual Professional Development Day March 12th. We had over 150 Early Learning leaders take part in five different and unique sessions. I hope that you enjoyed the presenters and topics and we are looking forward to continuing to create more of these opportunities in the future. Last Friday morning I sent a Development Day evaluation to each individual that participated in the sessions. I have included the link below in case it did not get to one of your staff. Please complete the survey by Friday, April 2nd.

LICENSED ONLY: Annual STARS Hours Timeline Reminder
As we just completed our Virtual Professional Development Day I thought this could be a good reminder of the timeline for you and your staff’s Annual in-service STARS hours. Staff need to complete 10 STARS hours between July 1st, 2020 – June 30th, 2021. Please take a moment over the next couple of weeks to log into your MERIT account to check how many hours you have completed in this timeframe. Please also take a moment to remind the rest of your staff team to do the same. We still have three months in this cycle to make sure everyone has completed 10 hours. If staff are short hours, please refer back to the top of this update to the Professional Development Opportunities. Each training highlights how many STARS hours it is worth and there are multiple options for free trainings as well. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you and have a wonderful week!
