Benefit System Blackout Period: Oct. 22 to Oct. 31 (From HR)

Benefit System Blackout Period: Oct. 22 to Oct. 31

As you may have heard, we are switching payroll and benefit systems to Paycom effective Nov. 1, 2021.

While we transfer employee benefits data from Benefitfocus to Paycom, there will be a 10-day benefits
“blackout” period. This is a system-only change and there will be no interruption to your benefits
coverage.

Here is a timeline of what is happening and when.

Date Thursday, Oct. 21

What’s Happening – Last day to enroll or make changes in Benefitfocus.

Date Friday, Oct. 22 to Sunday, Oct. 31

What’s Happening – Blackout Period – During this period, you will not be able to enroll, change your benefits, or see your benefits records online.

Date Monday Nov. 1 (and after)

What’s Happening – All benefit enrollments and changes will be made in Paycom. We will be sending a link to the Paycom site and additional information on Nov. 1.

Enrollment Deadlines
You have 31 days:
• To enroll for benefits if you are a new or newly benefit-eligible employee
• To change benefits or to add/drop dependents to/from coverage due to a family change or loss of coverage.
You have 60 days following birth or placement
to add newborn or adopted children to your
coverage, or to enroll or drop coverage due
to CHIP or Medicaid eligibility.

If you need to enroll or change your benefits, and your enrollment deadline falls between Oct. 22 and Oct. 31, we encourage you to enroll or make the change in Benefitfocus by Thursday, Oct. 21. Otherwise, you will have to wait until Monday, Nov. 1 to enroll or make the change on Paycom (we will grant you a
deadline extension).
