The Office for Catholic Schools will be hosting a virtual New Teacher Orientation for all new teachers to the archdiocese. These meetings will be taking place on Wednesday, August 11th (High School Teachers) and Thursday, August 12 (Elementary and Middle School Teachers) from 9am-12pm. Registration for the ZOOM meeting is required. Lisa O’Leary has sent out a registration to all principals. Principals can then either forward the registration to their new teachers or registered for them.
The purpose of the New Teacher Orientation is:
- To welcome new members of our Catholic schools team and create a program that gives all new members an understanding of the mission of the Office for Catholic Schools, connections to leadership outside of the immediate school building, and provide information about the mission of our Archdiocese
- To create a cohort of new teachers who can connect with each other and support each other in their first years within the Seattle Archdiocese
- To provide information on where to get resources, PD opportunities, familiarize teachers with mycatholicschool.org and upcoming Archdiocesan opportunities.
The meeting will be hosted by the Assistant Superintendent of Academic Excellence, Justyna King. An agenda for the meeting is available with the link to registering for the meeting. Clock hours are available for all meetings!
Feel free to email Justyna with any further questions. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
