Poetry Out Loud – 2018-19 School Registration is now open. Any school serving students in grades 9-12 may register to participate in the Washington State Poetry Out Loud program. Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) joins other state arts agencies in partnering with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation to support Poetry Out Loud, a poetry recitation competition that encourages the nation’s youth to learn about great poetry through memorization and performance. Do you have student artwork for display? The OSPI Arts office would like to extend an opportunity for your school to display student artwork in the superintendent’s executive conference room. Students whose artwork is displayed will receive certificates of appreciation along with the honor of having their work on display at our state education office.
