Each week I will send out an Early Learning Update email.  These are meant to be quick updates on any relevant items for the week including resources, Professional Development, new health department info and more

State of Washington Vaccine Mandate for School Employees includes Early Learning
On Wednesday, August 18, Governor Inslee announced a state mandate for all school employees and volunteers in both public and private schools to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by October 18.  This mandate includes Early Learning Programs.  If you have any questions or concerns about this mandate for you and any of your staff please communicate with your principal for guidance.

 

Early Learning and Mask Mandates   
Masks are required for all staff, students (age 5 and over) and volunteers when indoors.  The only exception is when students are napping or eating.  Masks for students 2 years to 4 years old are strongly recommended with supervision.  Masks for 2 years to 4 years old would be removed for napping and eating.  Most schools require masks for all ages for consistency on the school campus and parent communication.  Masks are not required for any age group during  outdoor play, however many schools are still requiring masks outdoors for ease and consistency.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

 

Early Learning Roundtable: Thursday, September 16th at 4:00pm
Our first Early Learning Roundtable of the new school year will take place on Thursday, September 16th from 4:00pm – 4:45pm.  Our topic this month is how your program interacts with your schools Kindergarten teacher/s throughout the year (Assessments, Meet and Greets, Conferences, Trainings, Monthly Meetings/Converstions, ect).  Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas.  We will be recording this session for those unable to attend.  Please mark your calendar and see link for the roundtable below:
